Fajita Friday

Made with avocado, coriander, flesh of a tomato, green chilli, lime, salt and pepper and a dash of Lea and Perrins chilli and garlic sauce. One of my favourites. The recipe is featured in the recipe section of the blog.

Just a couple of images from cooking. Really simple and easy to do. Char grill the peppers until they're nice and brown, add onion and then the chicken with garlic and chilli. Finally adding the spice mix just before serving.

Perhaps one of our favourite dinners, Fajitas with home-made guacamole. Not a cheap one, due to the avocado, but worth every penny! See below for the finished product.
It's difficult to take a nice picture of a folded Fajita so here is a picture of an open one. They were tasty!

Edinburgh

I took the girlfriend to Edinburgh for her 21st Birthday in January, and we had some lovely meals that I thought I should share. We went to a couple of really nice places. The Tower Restaurant (which is where the above picture was taken) was fantastic. It is situated above the Museum of Scotland, and has breathtaking views of the Castle. Well worth a visit, and I'd definitely go back.

We also enjoyed a lovely, laid back meal at The Salisbury Arms which was a lovely pub with great food and an open fire. Again great food, and great atmosphere. We had a fantastic evening and the food was lovely.

Second Investment

In my first post, I mentioned obtaining my very first piece of Le Creuset. Well me and the girlfriend decided to invest in a teapot (unfortunately he's not in teal, but she wanted the orange one.) She's named him Terrence. Very original.
